Our laptop extended warranties provide 1 to 4 years of coverage for your most precious electronics. For laptops that come with a one year manufacturer’s warranty, our contract starts the day the manufacturer’s warranty is over. For refurbished products, our contract starts the date you purchase your laptop, and coverage starts as soon as your refurbished warranty ends. Like most of our standard warranties, our laptop warranties cover all the inside machinery that makes your laptop tick. If a piece of hardware short circuits, you can send your laptop to our repair center and we’ll get it fixed, pronto. But what happens when your laptop bag strap breaks and your laptop falls, or you laugh so hard watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Hulu that you spill your drink on your keyboard. We know problems can arise, so we also have our accidental plans. These plans cover any drop under 6 feet and any minor spills. For our accidental plans, the contract starts the day you purchase your laptop, with coverage starting on day 31, after most stores return policy ends.

There are a few notable exceptions to our laptop coverage. Neither our accidental, nor our standard laptop warranties will cover intentional damage done to your laptop, lost or stolen laptops, or full submersion under water (so try not to bring your laptop in the bathtub with you).

Yes, you will. If your laptop breaks, we will provide you with instructions on shipping your laptop to CPS’s repair facility. Once we receive it, we will complete repairs for your laptop.

If we cannot repair your laptop, we will provide you with a check for the current market value of your laptop.

These warranties don’t cover any intentional damage, full submersion of your laptop underwater, or lost or stolen laptops.

The accidental warranty covers any drops under 6 feet and liquid spills on the laptop. This coverage is on top of the standard warranty’s coverage, meaning all hardware malfunction is completely covered as well.

This standard extended warranty includes 100% parts and labor coverage. This warranty covers any and all hardware failure, so long as it was not caused by accidental damage.

Yes, you can. Contact CPS by giving us a call at 1 (800) 905-0443, and our customer experience team will be able to help you transfer your warranty to a new owner. A small $25.00 transfer fee applies.

Your contract and coverage starts after the first year of your manufacturer’s warranty is over. As soon as that first year is over, we’ve got you covered.

For refurbished products that come with a 30-90 day warranty, your contract starts the date you purchased your laptop, with coverage starting after the 30-90 day warranty has finished.
