Types Of Coverage

Standard Coverage

Covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service from the original date of purchase for the period specified. In most cases, standard coverage is an extension of the manufacturer’s warranty. This coverage does not offer protection from damage such as physical, impact, cosmetic, water or corrosion. It also does not cover lost or stolen devices.

If your device qualifies for CPS Standard Coverage, we’ll attempt to fix it. If your device cannot be repaired, CPS will either replace the item or send you a check for the current market value of a replacement.


Accidental Damage Coverage

We understand that sometimes accidents happen. Accidental coverage is an add-on to our Standard Coverage which includes protection from unintentional damages, such as physical/impact and liquid damage. This is the perfect plan to protect your device against accidental drops under 6ft and liquid spills.

Unless additional options were included with your coverage, this warranty does not cover loss or theft, willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage, or full immersion in liquids of any kind. It doesn’t cover damage caused by using the product in a way the manufacturer never intended, nor does it cover damage caused by natural disasters or animals (dog or cat chewing the product.)

We don’t cover items that fail within the first 30 days or have a pre-existing condition. We also do not cover consumer replaceable parts such as batteries, ink cartridges lenses, or cables. Nor do we cover software problems, including software for computers or cell phones.

If your broken product qualifies for CPS Accidental Damage Coverage, we’ll provide you with a service center to ship the product to for repairs, and if your contract includes the prepaid option, we’ll pay for shipping too! Some plans may have deductibles.


Excessive Damage Coverage

This is coverage for the heavy stuff. Maybe you dropped your phone from the top of a ten story building, or your child threw your laptop out the window while you were driving. Excessive Damage Coverage is for when your product is smashed to bits and pieces.

This warranty does not cover loss or theft, full liquid submersion, or intentional damage.
If your broken product qualifies for CPS Excessive Damage Coverage, we’ll provide you with a replacement product or a check for the current value of the product. Some plans may have deductibles.


Full Liquid Submersion

Perhaps your child is on the swim team, maybe you enjoy snorkeling, and maybe your product found its way to the bottom of the pool or the ocean. If so, Full Liquid Submersion is for you.
This add on does not cover loss or theft, excessive damage unrelated to liquid, or intentional damage.

If your broken product qualifies for CPS Full Liquid Submersion, we’ll provide you with a replacement product or a check for the current value of the product. Some plans may have deductibles.


Commercial Use Coverage

This is the plan for covering the appliances in your work environment. This provides all the benefits of our standard plan, covering both consumer and commercial models that are used in a commercial environment.


In-Home Service

This is a plan for the big stuff in your life. This plan is available for ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, televisions, exercise equipment, furniture, and more. If you purchased this plan, CPS will dispatch an authorized professional local repair person to your home to repair your product at a time that is convenient for you.


Loss/Theft Coverage

We have all lost something before. Maybe it was a phone you left in your car that was taken, or a drone that fell into a deep lake. If this sounds familiar our Loss and Theft Coverage is for you.

If your product qualifies for Loss and Theft Coverage, we’ll provide you with a settlement for the current value of the product. Some plans may have deductibles.


Prepaid Shipping Coverage

This is an add-on that can be added to any mail-in warranty plan. If you purchased this plan, we will email you a prepaid label to ship your product to a local service center for repairs, and we’ll even ship it back to you free of charge too!

This plan does not include packaging materials for sending the product to your local service center.
